The Arts Council of Northern Ireland is responsible for delivering Northern Ireland’s London 2012 legacy for culture. It hosts the office of the London 2012 Creative Programmer for Northern Ireland and leads on the Cultural Olympiad and its finale, the London 2012 Festival, in Northern Ireland.

The Arts Council of Northern Ireland’s cultural legacy strategy for the Games contributes to the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure’s social legacy for the 2012 Games in Northern Ireland. Social legacy is one of three key themes within the Department’s overall objectives, in addition to sport and economic benefit.
